About UES from Osaka, Japan
Denim That Lives With You

Since 1967, UES has been making garments that go beyond fashion trends—clothes that age beautifully and tell the story of your life. Our denim is more than just fabric. It's an activity log of your daily experiences , developing unique character through wear, tear, and time.
Our Story

UES started in Japan in 1967 as a baby clothing manufacturer. Over the decades, we've evolved into a denim and workwear brand for all generations. In 1997, we opened our first flagship store in Kobe with one simple mission: to create clothing that people wear with love, until the very end . We've never run a discount sale—because we stand behind the true value of our craftsmanship.
Philosophy: Universal, Ethical & Sustainable

- Universal: Designed for all ages, genders, and lifestyles. Crafted with respect for artisan skills.
- Ethical: Made from hand-picked, defoliant-free cotton and linen that minimizes environmental impact.
- Sustainable: 100% made in Japan. Low-waste production, long product life, repair & remake services, and reuse of leftover fabrics.
Life with UES

Whether you're gardening, camping, fishing, riding your motorcycle, or working on a DIY project—UES denim fits right in. Your activities become visible on the denim through fading, creasing, and wear, turning every pair into a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your journey.
Crafted with Soul (100% Made in Japan)

We use traditional looms, vintage machines, and time-honored sewing techniques to create clothing that's both durable and soulful. Our fabrics are made with rare cottons and dyed using old-world methods that embrace natural fading as a feature—not a flaw.
Our Community

UES isn't just a brand—it's a movement. Through our Denim Gallery and Denim Marathon , customers share how their denim has aged over time. This community celebrates the beauty of well-worn, well-loved clothes. Join us and grow your denim with us.
