OXFORD BUTTON-DOWN SHIRT

When it comes to classic button-down shirts, famous brands like Ralph Lauren and Brooks Brothers often come to mind. UES has differentiated itself from these brands in three ways. First, the color. For Indigo Light, we used rope-dyed indigo yarn for the warp to leverage our strengths as a denim brand, creating a light sax blue hue. We also offer a classic white, typical of button-down shirts.
Second, we used slub yarn. While slub yarn is generally not used in button-down shirts, which are typically designed to look neat, UES intentionally used natural slub yarn. As a result, we were able to give the fabric a unique texture. Finally, the fabric thickness. We researched the fabrics of benchmark brands, adjusted the thickness of the warp and weft yarns, and achieved a thickness one grade higher than theirs. We repeatedly experimented with fabric production, such as twisting yarns of different counts.
