The half-cardigan fabric uses strong slub yarn to recreate the texture of "Garabo" (Garabo spinning). Garabo is an abbreviation for "Garagara Bōseki" (rattling spinning). Old spinning machines were called Garabo because they made a rattling sound. Although these spinning machines are no longer in operation, the unevenness produced by these imperfect machines created a unique fabric. This product expresses that fabric feel using a heavy 11.8 oz half-cardigan knit. Due to the thickness of the fabric, a special sewing machine with four needles that produces flat seams is used for stitching. A V-shaped sweatband is designed at the front of the binder neck to incorporate a vintage aesthetic.
