This fabric is an original fabric woven by UES specifically for their products. It's not available anywhere else. It's made for shirts worn in cold weather. The front side of the fabric is brushed, making it soft and warm to the touch. The check pattern is slightly smaller than that of heavy flannel. This fabric uses slub yarn (a yarn with significant unevenness in shape) for all weft threads. This gives the fabric a distinctively uneven texture on the surface.

Weaving on an old-fashioned loom takes time, and as the threads are not pulled too tightly, productivity drops significantly, but it is possible to weave fluffy, voluminous fabric with a nice texture.

You can choose from several colors and patterns for each size. All fabrics on the same product page are the same thickness, even if the color and pattern are different. (The warp and weft threads are the same thickness and density.) Yarn-dyed check is made by dyeing the threads first and then combining the warp and weft threads to create a check pattern. This is different from printed flannel, which creates a pattern through printing.

Texture: The back is brushed, giving it a warm, soft feel. Woven on a power loom, it is a bulky and voluminous fabric. Because it is unwashed, it will shrink slightly after washing, but the weave of the fabric will become denser and it will become even thicker.

Size: 114cm wide, available in three lengths. If the 50cm length is out of stock, we will not be able to cut it to the desired length, even if we have 100cm length in stock.

*In the production of clothing, there is inevitably some leftover fabric after cutting and fabric for alterations. We sell leftover fabric in the hope that such fabric will not go to waste and can be used by those who need it.
