The name is said to be inspired by Alvy, the main character in the film Annie Hall, starring Woody Allen.

<About Vincent Shoelaces>
Vincent Shoelace was founded by a man and woman duo from Kyoto.
The two came across some lovely shoelaces in an antique shop and upon research discovered they were made in America in the 1950s.
Unfortunately, the string was too short and not long enough to be used.
The two decided to start making the shoelaces that they dreamed of owning.

Shoelaces can affect the impression of shoes. Shoelaces are like hairstyles for humans, and we place emphasis on quality and make them in Japan from materials to finishing. We create samples of the laces we think would be ideal until we are satisfied, and release only the ones we like. The boxes the products come in are original boxes made by artisans in Tokyo's downtown area, with linen-embossed processed paper and gold leaf stamping. The design makes them perfect as gifts.
